Welcome to STCP, or Slagar the Cruel Productions. STCP is a site with all kinds of content, such as Slagar tributes, fanfiction, games, links, advice columns, and much more. (Yes, all of that is Redwall-related.) As you may have guessed, this website sort of focuses on Slagar, the villain from Mattimeo. So in some ways, it's a bit of a character "shrine", and in others it's just an outlet for my Redwall-related works. Anyways, for this website's purpose, I call myself "STC". Though around the Redwall community I'm pretty much known as "Slagar the Cruel", using that name here makes it way too easy to confuse me with the subject matter. That being said, I hope you enjoy the site. Have fun!
Yes, I know that December 13th was supposed to be the final update and all, but it's almost Halloween and I come bearing tricks and treats. The treat is... THIS! And I guess you could count the confirmation that no I have not forgotten this "Redwall" and that yes I am still working on the next website. I've just been really indecisive about it, and I've scrapped two site ideas about 50% into their construction.
The trick is that I meant to have this update up days ago (this is cutting it awfully close to Halloween), but I couldn't because my internet connection kept failing at inopportune times. Hopefully it'll stay working while I'm uploading this stuff. So in conclusion, download the slightly-new game, enjoy it, and notice that it mentions the name of the new website and a game company name I've decided to put on my games from now on. Happy Halloween, and a delightful Thanksgiving!
December 13th - The Final Update
I'm afraid that STCP's time is finally up... but it's going down with two updates! First of all, I've put up a list of exclusive Vermin Invaders 2 secrets up, including a never-before seen Christmas-themed one. Secondly, I've given "Ask Slagar" a semblance of closure with a very special update that may lead into things to come...
Well, goodbye everyone! Thanks for visiting STCP and keeping it popular (read: remotely noticed by a select few) for almost 2 years. It's been a lot of fun working on this site. Oh yeah... some animal died. (Don't ask.)
With the requisite "goodbye statement" out of the way, here's something actually useful: the saga of STCP does not end here! Keep an eye out for news concerning the "new site" in months to come. I can't specify any date in particular, but hopefully it won't be too far in the future.

December 5th - The End... OR IS IT?!
On November 12th, I announced that I planned to stop updating STCP. I was very vague about why I was doing this and what I planned on doing with it - which was for a reason. I didn't really want to stop updating STCP, and if I had thought of a "better way", I would want to take it. So, I left a fairly brief, very vague, and overall way-too-gloomy "farewell" message. Now I've had about a month to think about it, and I've reconsidered... somewhat.
Before I continue that line of thought, let me give a little clearer explanation of why I discontinued this website. I thought I could better apply myself to my "real life" (it's ridiculous to talk about it like that, STC isn't my secret identity or anything... *sips Pepsi Twist* ...but it does make sense in the context) if I spent less time on the computer. So, I decided that I would pointedly cut off all my ties to everything on the internet and discontinue all of my computer-related projects.
Well, I thought about it for about a month... and I decided that this was just too blunt and simplistic an answer. I shouldn't be trying to single out and destroy one of my free-time activities; rather, I should focus on being moderate and responsible in how I spend all of my free time. This decision comes with some good news, and some bad news (BEAR WITH ME FOR THE GOOD NEWS, or I'll... swoggle your corn, or something.)
Here's the bad news: I'm still not going to be updating STCP anymore. Though my updating schedule was decidedly... sporatic, making things for STCP was still a major distraction. STCP is the sort of thing I really need to tone down on - the sort of death-traps I make for myself by coming up with an idea which requires my constant tending to and which brings me very little in return.
Now for the good news: this will be more like a long hiatus, and there will be something very neat to replace STCP when I get back. I like doing STCP, but I need some time to build up a "reserve" of content, and change the structure to make it quicker to update. Plus, I think STCP could really use some improvements. So, keep an eye out for that. (Interesting note: the idea of making a Redwall website, recognizing flaws in it, needing to take a break from it, taking what was good from it, and then mixing that into something new and better... is not something new to me. Foremole Dinny's was the alpha, STCP was the beta... I'd say we're due for the omega. Oooh, how mysterious...) <- NOTE: AS OF OCTOBER 2004 I UNDERSTAND HOW LAUGHABLY CORNY THE WHOLE "CALLING THE NEW SITE 'OMEGA'" THING WAS, SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT THAT
And here's some even better news (which will explain why I'm not signing off with some "ohh, boo hoo, goodbye, thanks for visiting, it's been fun, some animal died" statement) - STCP still has one update left in it! I refuse to specify exactly what it is, but you could equate it to a Season Finale for "Ask Slagar". So keep an eye out for that, too - it'll be out within the month!
